COMMENTS
Corydoras agassizii are very sociable, which means they should be kept in a school of the same species, at least six in a school. They will feed from the waste food on the bottom on the tank, which helps to control tank pollution, but they should not be fed only leftover food. Sinking pellets, wafers, live and frozen foods are ideal to maintain a healthy diet.
BREEDING
Not easy but has been accomplished. Condition prospective parents on live or frozen foods. Gender Cannot be determined from external features. The sex of the cory can be distinguished in adults as the female is noticably wider when looked upon from above. Females are slightly larger than the males, Nitrates must be kept as low as possible. Small frequent water changes with slightly cooler water with a pH of 6.5 in a wide, shallow tank which may instigate breeding activity. Corydoras Agassizii is one of the hardest Corydoras too breed.
