| Beacon Tetras are beautiful little tropical fish. It gets its name from the two shinny areas of skin at the head and tail. They have a silver grey body and red patches above their eyes. They prefer to be in a shoal of six or more. They are best kept in warm, soft, acidic water with a low pH. | |

| Beacon Tetras are easy to breed, and will even spawn in a community tank with the right conditions. A good diet is an important stimulant for breeding. Beacon Tetras are egg scatters. They lay their egg's in the aquarium subtrate. | |
