COMMENTS
Rams are dwarf cichlids, They have an orange face, a red/yellow body and a blue neon tail. They require soft water with a low pH. They are a great choice for a community aquarium because they are a peaceful species. Rams also like a well planted tank with open areas to swim in, caves in which they can hide.
BREEDING
Rams will form strong bonding pairs, They will remain faithful to their mate through out their lives. Rams will spawn on stones or large plant leaves. Both parents with share the rearing of the fry. They have also been known to take their fry into their months to protect them, just like mouth brooders.
