COMMENTS
Sailfin Molly's are busy fish, that can live in either salt or fresh water as long as they are acclimatized slowly. They prefer a well planted tank with a good filtration system because they have large appetites thus producing more waste. Sailfin Molly's are perfect for a community tank because of their peaceful nature. But they should not be housed with fin nipper such as barbs.
BREEDING
Sailfin Molly's very easy to breed, and will do so even if the keeper intends it or not. Females store the males sperm and can give birth many times even with no males present. The ideal ratio for breeding is three females to one male, This helps to spread the males attention about because if there are not enough females, the male molly will tend to harass females.
