COMMENTS
Cherry Barb is a colourful fish, it has a reddish brown colour, Breeding males have a brighter red colour, Females are more orange in colour and have a deeper belly. Cherry barb is one of the smaller barbs having a slimmer body than most others and the upper lip has a pair of bar bells. They are ideal for a small community tank. They should be housed with similar sized fish. They prefer soft, acidic water with a low pH and also like a well planted tank with floating plants for cover.
BREEDING
Cherry Barbs are egg scatters. They lay their egg's in the subtrate. The cherry Barb should be removed from the aquarium after spawning to prevent them eating the egg's.
