Aeration Equipment
I would advise the purchase of aeration equipment. Even if it is not required.
Because you will require aeration equipment as time goes by, for hatching baby brine shrimp, emergency
aeration or for powering an air filter in a quarantine or hospital aquarium.

Air Pumps
These are electrically powered; a vibrating rubber diaphragm inside the pump provides
a constant supply of air. Piston pumps are also available. There is a large size range
of air pumps available. Small cheap pumps are only suitable for small aquariums.
Bigger, more expensive pumps are suitable for large aquariums or multiple aquariums.

Airline
Airline is available in 6mm and 10mm diameters'; 6mm airline is for aquarium air
pumps, 10mm is used for larger outdoors air pumps used for ponds. Airlines are made
of soft plastic or silicon. It provides an air tight path from the air pump to the
aquarium for the air supply to travel along.
Diffusers
These are used to break up the air into tiny air bubbles, this helps increase
the water surface area of the aquarium. They can be made from wood, plastic,
rubber or stone.
Gang Valves
These gang values split up an air supply into multiple air outlets. They can also
control the amount of air travelling through each air outlet.
Non-return Values
These prevent aquarium water siphoning down the airline towards the air pump during
power cuts. If the aquarium water gets into the air pump, it can damage it or even
more likely destroy it and could possibly start a fire. So I strongly urge you to protect
your air pumps with non-return values, stay safe.

T-shaped Air Connectors
These are used to split an airline into two outlets, but there is no control over the air supply in the airline outlets.
Airline Clamps
These are used with a t-shaped airline connector to provide control over the
air supply in the air outlets. If one air outlet is low on air then the airline
clamp is applied on the other air outlet to restrict the air following through
the airline. Thus increasing the air supply in the air outlet with the low air
supply.

Straight and L-shaped Air Connectors
These straight and L-shaped air connectors are used to connect two airlines together, too form a single longer airline.
